Image preview – No close button

    Hello

    Why images on my post don’t have a close button on image previews?

    I did the following: In Gutenberg editor, Insert Image -> Click image -> Insert link -> Media File.

    When I click on images, the image gets previewed, but there is no close button. I’ve to click the ‘go back’ button to go back to post.

    How do I display the close button on images?

    Hello,

    That is because images not opening in the lightbox, it directly opening by the URL.

    Have you disabled the lightbox option?

    Please go to Appearance > Customize > General options > Performance, from here make sure to Disable Lightbox option should not be enabled.

    Go to Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles, enable all the files, and click on the save button a couple of times.

    I did that for 1st image and the close button is visible now. But the hover icon won’t change now. Earlier it would change to a hand icon when the cursor is placed on the image and also the link URL would display on the status bar. They won’t show anymore. The cursor remains as an arrow pointer and the URL will not be displayed on the status bar.
