Image portfolio embedded in author bio?

Hi there,

I guess I want to use the auther biography slightly different from the way it’s meant to be used. I’ve helped build a website for a group of artists (http://bibkunstschuur.nl, theme “Suffusion”).

Each artist has made a post with a small portfolio, – a gallery, with the post category being “portfolio.”

It is my wish to pin this portfolio right below their biography whenever the author page is invoked, but obviously whenever one of them posts something else that’s more recent, it pushes the portfolio down in the list.

I’ve tried to make the portfolio’s sticky and searched for plug-ins to help. Plug-ins which can deal with sticky posts per category don’t work on the author page. Plug-ins which enhance the biography either only adds a wisywig editor or deals with the display of the author box.

I’d like to avoid having to get into php coding, but am afraid I’ll end up having to add a line to the “author.php”. I’m quite new to CMS/wordpress/databases but do have some rusty experience with C++ coding, html and CSS.

I hope there is a “non-coding” solution that someone can point me towards. And if there isn’t would someone then be so kind and spell out, character by character, what I’ll have to do?
