I’ve installed the free version of iThemes Security.
All my images are now no more “visible”, neither on the website (from a visitor perspective), neither in the library (from the wordpress dashboard).
I’m wondering if it could be possible that the plugin changed (about the images) some permissions settings that makes them no more visible.
    What do you think?
    Is it possible?
Any suggestion to have my images visible again?

If you provide a link to the site the forum community can have a look at the issue.

For example, you can see that all the images on this page are not visible:

    Thanks

According to Sucuri (https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/) that site is blacklisted by McAfee …

yes there was hacking issues in the past, but the site is no more blacklisted by other search engines.
Anyway, being blacklisted by mcafee and havng the images not visible… is it related?

    Ok, I see.

No, being blacklisted by McAfee probably does not cause the images not being displayed. But it does prevent the site from being rendered in the browser by my F-Secure (anti virus) application.

Only way to have the site rendered is to ignore/dismiss the F-Secure blacklisted warning which is displayed instead. But I’m not comfortable (yet) in doing that …

It’s very well possible the McAfee blacklisted status is a false positive, but better safe than sorry. Anyway you should take any necessary step to cancel the blacklisted status at McAfee.

I’ll be happy to help once the site is no longer blacklisted at McAfee.

To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes.

I’ve just send an email to McAfee to ask them to remove the website from their blacklist.
We’ll see if they remove it…
