I appreciate you are looking for a solution but having 3 different developers discussing an issue in 3 separate threads in not the way to solve a problem.
Converting a single site to SSL ensuring that a number of things are lined up correctly. Both multisite & domain mapping add layers that also had to be configured correctly.
I do understand i am flooding my requests everywhere, reason is not able to figure out what is giving me the error.
Now deleted everything and setting up just a plain multisite with ssl and only plug in domain mapping. If logo loads then i have a hope, If not again i am back to square 1.
Will update you soon.
Yes, while setting up from scratch, i followed codex and did not do anything else at all. even deleted default hello dolly & askimet plug ins since i want to see what is really causing.
Going to only use FLATSOME theme and your plugin, not even woocommerce.
Hope i find out anything out.
Thanks
vassi
Now, i set up just a multisite with domain mapping and ssl certificate: main site has wildcard & subdomain pointing domains has separate standard ssl.
antifatigueboatmats.com – exactly back to the same where we started. no logo displayed.
Another subdomain is not set as primary – electricdredgereelsetc.fishingkitesetc.com
Displays the logo.
So, not sure why the moment it pointed to domain, it breaks the image?
Just worried of this entire process with no end or solution.
Thanks
vassi
Assuming you are using WP 4.4.X, I would suggest that instead of using domain mapping you just edit the site URL in network admin to be https://mappeddomain.com.
Then go through the tables for that site and replace all http://electricdredgereelsetc.fishingkitesetc.com with https://mappeddomain.com.
OK, I think that is the one thing i didnt do it yet, let me do that too.
Thanks Ron, for your insight in to it. I will get back to you with results.
regards.
Not success at all until:
Ron, and all the guys who tried to help me, my respect & appreciation goes to you guys.
I went to ssl2buy and swapped wildcard ssl to UCC SSL and they fixed it up in 10 mins.
All seems to be working fine. As per them they just installed UCC SSL and did nothing in any settings / cpanel / WP.
However, i owe you guys more detailed technical set up i have present, will soon post it. Which may help someone in wp-mutli-techno-distress.
Once again, i respect and appreciate all who helped me and spent their valuable time.
With Best Regards
Vassi
