[Resolved] image / page logo in footer

  • Ahoy,

    my problem is that i want to have the image in the bottom right corner of the page (right now upper right corner), there should also some space to the border of the page, is it possible to do it with css or is it easier to add some border to the image.

    I have child theme and custom css installed my page name is islandofopenprocess.net

    thanks in advance, i would fail big time without you here…

    Martin

  • For the logo, change the position to bottom right.
    background-position: bottom right;
    Not sure what you mean by “space to the border of the page”, can you clarify that?

    thanks for the answer, but im not sure where to add this code fragment, can you help me with that? With space to border i mean, the image is now sticking in the corner of the page and i would like to have it with some space to the corner. And i was wondering if there is an opportunity do it with css or if i just add some border to the image and thats it…

    Best

    Martin

    Go into Appearance > Editor, on the right side click on style.css

    [Moderator note: Because other people will be looking at this thread you should mention the Child Theme]

    sorry but i still cant fix it, i looked into style css, but there is no such tag like “background position”, when i add the fragment to the body tag it doesnt work

    Sorry, I didn’t explain very well. Post this code at the bottom of the
    style.css.

    body.custom-background {
        background-position: bottom right;
    }

    sorry it still not working, i tried different stuff but nothing works, picture still sticks in the upper corner, i have child theme and custom css installed. Do I need the functions.php in my child-theme directory?

    For the problem of the image is sticking in the corner this can be a solution:

    body.custom-background {
        background-position:x% y%;
    }

    look here for details: http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_background-position.asp

    best martin, thnaks for your help

    Yes, that will work. Try something like 98% for both values. And add it to the very bottom of the style.css of the child theme.

    sorry its not working, im helpless dont know where the problem is hiding

    <style type="text/css" id="custom-background-css">
    body.custom-background { background-color: #ffffff; background-image: url('http://islandofopenprocess.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/island21.png'); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: top right; background-attachment: fixed; }
    </style>

    i dont know if this helps but the code on the site looks like this, im a beginner in wordpress so just guessing that somewhere here is the problem

    Do you also have a css plugin that you added stuff to?

    body.custom-background {
        background-position: 98% 98% !important;
    }

    awesome now it works, im so happy you saved my day 🙂
