Image on Paginated Post (indexed or Not)

    Hi i use paginated posts. if i enable/checked Use Noindex for Paginated Pages/Posts. then how about my image files on the paginated post? is it indexed or not indexed by google? When i check my paginated posts it shows noindex,follow. thanks

    Anything on those paginated pages won’t be indexed, including your images. However, if you include Media in your sitemap and don’t have Media set to noindex, then it’s possible Google will index your image files through their attachment pages.

    if i add image files url on the sitemap. can google indexed my images? so my sitemap includes post url and image url. i also use noindex on Media and paginated posts.

    Previously i read https://wordpress.org/support/topic/exclude-attachment-pages/. from the answer even we use Noindex on Media, it only effect on attachment post type not them image itself.

    I see that thanks, but would I check off “Media” I was worried that would stop images themselves from being indexed. Would that just apply to the media attachment URL?

    That’s just the attachment post type, not the image itself.
