Support » Fixing WordPress » Image not resizing after moving to new domain

  • Hello everyone, I’ve just finish to successfully moved the website from my company, working great. Happy from this move I decided to move my personal blog. Works like a charm, well almost… I’m stuck with this “big” annoying problem, the images are not resizing ! Which mean like for example any pictures used a featured image appear as full size instead of the supposed size… Does anyone knows what’s happenning and what I could do to fix this ? (I could manually re-upload them but there are more than 5000 files ! and moreover the links will change…)

    Have you reviewed Moving_WordPress?

Yes, and as I said I did it already last week with another website and i did’nt encounter any problems that’s why I don’t get why this time this is doing this mess…

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

OK, I’ve deactivating all plugin, did solve the problem, switching the theme didn’t show me improvment, but I’m not sure if re-uploading wp-admin and wp-includes adding to the resetting of the plugin was the solution because in the end I’ve deleted also all the posts in the database, export again from the previous domain after cleaning the plugins and import in the new domain and bingo it works ! Thank you for pointing me in the right direction (well I guess…)
