    Few problems bro.
    1. you don’t have a default image in the plugin settings – if you look at your source it even says that. You don’t have a featured image on that page or a standard WP content area on the page to pull an image from so you’d need to set your default image in settings.

    2. You also have WPSEO plugin outputting open graph code – you can’t have more than one set of OGP tags so you’ll have to turn those off or this plugins’

    3. (freebee) you have your analytics tracking code set to “UA-0000000-0″… so I doubt that’s working well for you.

    Hi Chuck,

I have been trying last 2 hrs.

I actually I guess fix the featured image part with the link of a pic that i uploaded through media uploader.

I even de-activated WPSEO totally and was trying to post links, still no luck. I am unable to figure out how WPSEO outputting the OGP. Can you please help with that?

Should I get some different SEO Plugin?

Also, the analytics tracking code. I just checked with the setup of my g-analytics, that’s what I see for the code.

I am not too good with this OGP thingy…help me out with this please…

    thank you
    Nik

Well WPSEO OGP settings under SEO > Social. It’s a checkbox whether Facebook is on or off.
Don’t deactivate the entire plugin – you need that for good titles and stuff. Plus it’s a good plugin.

Also. this is not an image: “http://www.desi-american.com/?attachment_id=7307” That’s a link to a page that displays the image. I’m not sure if that’s what you put in or if it just started pulling that.

Since you don’t have an image on your home page… Make a new 600px x 400px image that you’d want to show up on Facebook when you share your link… upload that to your site.. then take the link to the .jpg or .png and put it in my plugin settings as the default image and check the box to make it default. Done 🙂

    Hello Chuck,

As per your guidance I unchecked the box for Facebook in WPSEO and saved settings. That part done. Thank you for that.

As for the image, i have uploaded the image that I posted the link again in the plugin. I am not sure if that’s the right one. You can check and let me know and or also if you can give me an example of how the link should look like.

Also, just a quest. that as because I want to show image of the posts (if available) as I paste or share the links.

You can check on that and please let me know.

Thank you very much for your help and time.

yeah it looks much better now.

Also i don’t know why but you have this as your description??
    “—————- ================”
You should be able to add a home page description either on your home page via SEO box or in the SEO plugin settings under Titles.

For posts.. just don’t check the box under the default image then in my plugin settings… then it should pull images in the posts.

    Cheers

    Hey Chuck,

I guess most of it has been fixed now. The one for what you told me for the description is also fixed now. Thanks for your time and help.

I am still encountering the image issue. I am not sure why but I might have to look around within plugins i guess. Maybe some other plugin is interfering or I did something with the security part.

Thanks a bunch for your help !!

    Cheers,
    Nik 🙂

Hi! I’m also trying to use this plugin for being able to decide image and meta in my posts on FB, Twitter and Google+. I can’t get it to work. Is there setup a guide somewhere or can I give you my login, so that you can see what I’ve messed up?

    Cheers!

    Hi again Chuck!

I’ve tried all your suggestions in this thread but I still can’t get OGP to work. This is what I’ve tried:

    1. Deactivated other plugins.
    2. Uploading diff images of my logo for FB – to the 600×400 featured image in OGP and featured image on each WP-page.
    3. Unclicked FB in YoastSEO.

On some pages like http://monroedesign.se/media/ the image works but there’s no meta title nor copy, even though I have meta on that page by Yoast.

On my index http://monroedesign.se/ the title and meta copy gets pulled from Yoast but I can’t decide which image to show. I want my logo but it shows thumbs of projects.

    Settings in OGP:

    Facebook User Account ID: https://www.facebook.com/monroedesign.se

Facebook Application ID: Empty. Do I need to set up a FB app?

Default Image URL to use: http://media.monroedesign.se/2014/08/600x400_monroe_design_logo_stockholm.jpg

Force Fallback Image as Default: Checked.

Please tell me what I’ve done wrong.

    Cheers!

@angela I just replied to you in the other thread but the plugin is working on your site just fine – FB just seems to be doing their own thing as of late.

    Hi Chuck,

I’ve this same problem. When I post the link on FB, the only image that appears is my header image.

I’m using All-in-One SEO on my site, and the option to link it to FB is OFF.

The error message I get when I debug the link is: “og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that’s at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook.”

However, this message only appears on selected posts. (esp the recent last three posts!!) I’ve not installed any other new plugins.

    Please help.

    Thank you so much!!!

Should be starting new threads guys – gets too confusing.

@andrevaranda – you have two plugins outputting og tags. turn this one off. wpseo seems to be doing fine for you

@mumseword – you don’t have the admin ID’s in the admin field; instead you put the name – read the instructions. graph.facebook.com/yourusername then pull the ID from there.
Also doesn’t seem like you have the General > Settings > Site Name set? that’s the only thing not pulling right.

    Chuck,

I put off my other plugin, but could not change the share to the image I want (http://gamatv.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Logo_FB_180x180px.jpg)
