  • Resolved successwindows

    I am having an issue where I posted a post for a event category on my site. Its using the Events Plugin. On the homepage If I click on the event the flyer will load correctly in FF, if you turn around and load it within IE, it just shows a red ‘x’. Can someone please show me how to fix this or give me some other posts to read that can show me how to fix this.

  • Anyone know how to resolve this?

    Is my issue not explained correctly the reason why I am not getting any help?

    Try this for your img source:

    <img src=”<?php bloginfo(‘url’); ?>/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/CCC_flyer.jpg” alt=”Capital City Classic Game” height=”700″ width=”700″ border=0 />

    didnt like that lol…something screwed up now lol… any other ideas? All i did was copied and pasted…

    It must be a static page (which won’t take the php). hmmm … first: remove the php part I put in there and then try removing the first backslash ( / ) before wp-content and see if that does anything. For some reason IE is nitpicking. It’s got to be something simple.

    If that doesn’t work then try: <img src=”” alt=”Capital City Classic Game” height=”700″ width=”700″ border=0 />

    that didnt work either. Here is my current post.

    <img src=”” alt=”Capital City Classic Game” height=”700″ width=”700″ border=0 />

    Which will load in FF, but not in IE>

    For some reason IE doesn’t like your jpg.

    Here’s a workaround you can try – not sure if it will work. Go into your CSS stylesheet and create a new div – Just copy this:

    #CapitalCityClassicGame {
    width: 700px;
    height: 700px;
    background-image: url(“”);
    border-style: none;

    Then on the page where you have your <img src=””>, replace it with:
    <div id=”CapitalCityClassicGame”></div>

    See if that works.

    lol yeah that didnt work either…well it did work for FF but not IE. It didn’t even show in IE. The scale for the size of the image didnt adjust to 700 in FF either..not sure whats up…its something with this crazy image I think.

    I just read in another post where someone was having this problem with IE and images, and someone said that if you open your photo up in another image editor, like Paint, don’t make any changes, just resave it. Then upload it and try it, then it should work.

    Here’s the link:

    I hope this does it.

    IE is such a headache.

    The issue was with the file itself. Once I reopened it with Paint and saved it, then it worked like a charm. Using the original basic <img> properties.
