Hi, and thank you for a great plugin!

I’m having some trouble, and need help debugging it.

I’m running the plugin version 2.4.2 (and have tried 2.4.3-beta, with the same results), and wordpress 4.0.1.

The problem is that when the thumbnail editor window opens (both as a “popup” or as a standalone page), the image to edit simply doesn’t show up.

When I select an image size from the list, that image appears at the bottom of the page.

This happens no matter which line of action I follow to get to the edit screen (media library, add new media from new post screen, etc.)

I have tried disabling all other plugins, but it didn’t help.

I have tried deleting the plugin, reuploading it again, but it didn’t help.

The strange thing is, I have also tried the plugin on other sites (on other servers), with the same versions of WP and the plugin, and it’s working fine.

I have managed to narrow it down a bit, though. On the edit thumbnail screen, it tries to load the URL http://site.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=pte_imgedit_preview&_ajax_nonce=5e47473eb5&postid=211&rand=91074.

When I access this URL in my browser, I get an error message saying the image contains an error, and can’t be displayed.

When I try to wget that same URL, I get a text file containg “0” (zero), and nothing else. (But that might be because I’m not properly authenticated when wgetting?)

So, where do I go from here?

My best suggestion is to ask my hosting provider to move me to another server, to test if it magically works again there (perhaps due to an error on the server).

Do anyone else have any suggestions?

    Best wishes,
    Eivind
