# Image map misaligned

 * My image map at [http://www.artsga.org/areas/](http://www.artsga.org/areas/) 
   is out of alignment and I’m wondering if there is something about WordPress that
   would cause that to happen. I’ve uploaded a test image map here – [http://stanwoodard.net/test/directory-map-test.html](http://stanwoodard.net/test/directory-map-test.html)–(
   non WordPress) and it aligns correctly. Do I need to use a WP plugin to make 
   the image ma function properly?

    Have you tried clearing the cache from your browser?

 * Thanks for looking at it… are you saying that the map at the first link, [http://www.artsga.org/areas/](http://www.artsga.org/areas/),
   seems properly aligned to you? The one at the second link I posted is definitely
   correct, if you are comparing them. BTW Clearing the cache didn’t do anything
   for me.

 * The map of Georgia with the boxes on either side of it?
    They seem to be working
   fine for me. Which browser are you using and what version?
 * There are some image mapping plugins – but I don’t have any experience with them

 * Both image maps are looking fine for me. I use Chrome Version 46.0.2490.80 m.

 * Thanks for mentioning Chrome! I’ve been using FF 41.0.2 and that is where I’m
   getting misaligned. Just checked and it works properly in Chrome; I kind of like
   outline showing Chrome, too. FF is becoming more and more troublesome for me,
   but the map must work in all browsers. May have use a plugin unless there is 
   another FF fix.

 * FYI you have a closing </p> tag right after the image with no opening tag …..
   potentially enough to cause an issue.
 * Actually you have another missing closing </div> tag further down looks like.
 * More than enough to give FireFox a headache 😉
    You might want to run the page
   through the W3C validator and fix up the errors [https://validator.w3.org/](https://validator.w3.org/)
