There is a way to do that… but please let me know what your specific use case is. I’d like to understand specifically what you are trying to do so I can point you in the best direction.
Thanks!
Hi Micah,
thank you for your fast answer!
I made a pdf file to describe you my case, please have a look:
http://docdro.id/1H6W3Xb
On my front page I need to upload in 3 categories always 2 images (2 images about Scenography, 2 images about Design and 2 images about Architecture)
I want to show with every refresh randomly one of those 2 images in every category.
And every image needs to link to its URL of the project – so in total I have 6 projects.
Hope its understandable..
Thank you in advance and have a nice day!
@terezavyhlidal
Thanks for the details. So are those images featured images on a ‘project’ custom post type?
I’m trying to think through the best way to support your request and it seems like maybe it would be best to allow you to define a specific list of post IDs and we randomly pull in the featured images and automatically link to the post?
Hello Micah,
right now I am using ‘single images’ that link to each ‘portfolio pages’.
I do not use the ‘featured images’ of the portfolio pages, because I need to use the featured images for a another page (f.e. ‘Architecture page’ with portfolio grid) and those featured images have to look different there.
So I need to use for the ‘front page’ where I need to place the ‘Image refresher’ another images.
Hope you understand me.
So what I request is that every ‘single image’ will have its link.
But if it is not possible, I can duplicate all those ‘portfolio pages’ and give them the correct featured images and than it is possible to do that your way you described above..
Again hope you understand 😀
Thank you in advance and I really appreciate you help!
