Image links don’t open in a new window for non-admins

  • I tried to search, but I couldn’t find anything.

I’m trying to get my authors link thumbnailed images to their full size versions, but I want them to open in a new window. So they just select “open link in new window”, right? Nope, that doesn’t work. The target="_blank" doesn’t get added. Even if they select it from the menu. Even if they edit the HTML code manually. But I can do it because I’m admin. Either from the menu, or by editing HTML code directly.

Is this a bug or a feature? What do I have to do to let my authors and editors also open links in a new window?

  • Ditto. Anyone have insight on this?

We’re having that same problem. Thought I was going crazy! So are only admin’s allowed to do this? I’d really like our readers to stay on our site.
