Image link issues on webkit browsers – Safari and Firefox

    3.1.3 and 3.1.2 seem to be having issues when creating links from images using the visual editor in Webkit browsers. Whenever I try to add a link to an image it disappears automatically. This doesn’t happen in Firefox or in older versions of WordPress.

    This behavior is repeating on many sites that I have, with or without plugins activated and regardless of the theme.

    Any idea what could be happening?
