    are you sure the image (before you hacked the code) was not being put into the featured image spot on your post? If it was, the problem lies with your theme. If it wasn’t then provide the RSS url that you are using since there should be no reason to change the code unless there is a bug that I haven’t seen.

    ok…it looks like the problem is that the feed is putting in images you don’t want, so you’re forcing the use of the media enclosure.

    This kind of hack will work as long as the rss feeds have a media enclosure, but if they don’t you’ll get no image.

    What this tells me is a feature where you choose whether or not to force using the media enclosure might solve this…but for now, your hack is the best way.
