Support » Plugin: Germanized for WooCommerce » Image in mandate – email

    Hi there!

We added an image in the Mandate custom text. Using basic html:

    <p style=”text-align:center”></p>

It looks great on the mandate preview, however when the mandate is sent by email the image doesn’t show.

Is there any way to make it visible on the email body?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi there,

I guess that does very much depend on the link (and whether the link is available to the public, e.g. without auth etc) and the email client being used. Germanized does not make any adjustments here – but adding images to emails might be a non-trivial task too as some email clients will block/remove your images.

    Cheers

    Thanks for your quick reply!

I just realized my link doesn’t show correctly. It is as follows:

    <p style="text-align:center"><img src="https://mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/stamp.jpg"/></p>

The image is publicly accesible (you paste the url in a private window and shows the image) and the email client is just Gmail…

Actually if it would show nothing at all would be fine but (only) on mobile it shows the typical image icon like it couldn’t be loaded… and doesn’t look good (https://imgur.com/a/rodD1Tk)

I thought it could maybe be related with the email template.

    Thanks anyway! 😉

No, that doesn’t seem like a template issue. Maybe your link is protected via htaccess (e.g. your site is not yet live) or you are testing via localhost?

    Hi…

Ok, template discarded. My site is live and I’m not testing via localhost. I also tried using the url of the screenshot (https://imgur.com/a/rodD1Tk) which is publicly accesible… and then it did’t even show in the mandate preview!… I deactivated plugins (hoping wordfence was blocking or something) but with no success.

Anyway, I guess it doesn’t have anything to do with Germanized then … We’ll keep trying things a little more.

Thanks again for your great support!👏🏼

    Hi all,

Just to provide some feedback in case someone stumbles with something similar, it seems to have much to do with Gmail… The only solution to make it work for me was using a div background as explained here:

    Cheers!
