Image header in content section

I would like to add a rotating random image header in the content section. The image would be above and span all the columns in the content section of the page. The images would be pulled from a specified directory within the themes section of K2.

I imagine this would most easily be done with edits to the page.php file. Could someone please help with the code to accomplish this.
