Resize images before upload
Image goes white ... (2 posts)

Hi, most images I've tried so far work fine, but one set of images with file sizes of around 10mb each is going wrong - the images upload as normal but the compression is adding a blizzard of 'snow' or white pixels all over it, kinda like a strong application of 'lighten' in Photoshop or something. So far my best guess its to do with the large file size, any thoughts? Thanks. (Latest version of WP)

I've not heard of anything like this happening but it does look like there could be issues with very big images when using the Flash uploader, which is what will be used if your browser doesn't support HTML5 very well.

Could it be something to do with that?

Try another browser maybe also maybe try adjusting the quality setting in your media settings panel.
