Hi Gijo. I also put this on the facebook forum, but thought you might prefer it here. The page link is for a test page. I have a 6 image slideshow on the homepage, right at the top of the page. When I installed Flying Images, I noticed that the first two images dropped down – had a big white space (div?) above them. Also below them in fact. Once it got to image 3 it was fine, then after that all the images rotated through the full 6 just fine.

The example page I set up to see if the number of images in the gallery made a difference. The gallery is a crossfade slideshow created directly in ProPhoto 7. With one image, there’s no shift. I’ve actually put a 1 image slideshow on the homepage for now, till I figure this out. But if I put two images, then the first one shifts down. Any ideas how to fix this? You can also see the affect on my portfolio page, where the drop happens for about 13 images before correcting itself.

    Thx Paul

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@pt44 try disabling ‘responsive images’. If that doesn’t work, use “native only” lazy loading. Some sliders are not compatible with JS lazy load

    Thx Gijo

I tried disabling responsive images, but that didn’t fix it. However, the 2nd suggestion, changing lazy load to native only did fix things. I turned responsive images back on, that setting didn’t seem to upset the site.

Thx for the fix. Much appreciated.

Going to mention something else that was happening (but this also fixed it). When loading a blog page with a top image, text, then a lot of other images in a classic block. What I was seeing was the 3rd image and all others would load instantly. However, the top image and 2nd image wouldn’t load for ages. It was like a reverse lazy load. I’d have expected the top 2 to load first, the others after a delay. As I say, changing to native has fixed this too, but thought I’d let you know, as others might experience that.
