    Hello!
I’m kinda new in web development. Currently working on my first big project and faced a big wall. That would be really great if you could help me with an advice.

I need to make responsive Image Gallery with following fuctionality: specific style(not some template), should have ‘preview’ gallery, when clicked opens bigger image with description unique to every image, should also have filters for images in gallery AND website owner(only) should be able to upload those images with description to them on website.

I figured out that wordpress is one of the better options for this task. Could you give me any advice of how to make such functionality?

    Thank you!

Make use of built in WP functionality as much as you can. The classic gallery shortcode does this. You could refer to its source code for inspiration and ideas on how it’s done. You can actually override the default gallery code with your own through the “gallery_post” filter.

There are also plenty of other gallery plugins in the WP repository. You can examine their source code as well for further inspiration.
