Support » Fixing WordPress » Image displays in post, but then…

  • I have a post with a image and when I visit the startpage of the weblog I’m busy with it shows the post with the image as intended. People can leave comments and all.

But when I ‘visit’ the categorie it is placed in I don’t see the image of the cartoon anymore. Only the title of the message is shown here…?! And when I click on this title (which is a linked header!) I am redirected to the cartoon and it’s posted reactions…

But this time the image is shown again..?!

I am getting really frustrated and would love to hear the solution.

  • Generally, the archives/category pages, use the_excerpt, instead of the_content. the_excerpt strips all HTML, so the img tag is gone. You might notice no links in posts in those excerpts show up either.

Depending on your theme, you can edit the page to use the_content if you want html to show up, or you can employ a plugin, which allows for configuration of the_excerpt to allow for certain tags
