    Hi Thom

Is there a way to handle maps and photos such that they are previewable? Perhaps a magical shortcode???

I would love to be able to provide my readers with preview images in Lightbox, thumbnail, or some similar tool so they get a quick look-see before attempting a download. All this is because I have hundreds of maps and thousands of images (all of which are currently in Zenphoto) and I’d love to have them available via FileAway instead.

    Thanks for your outstanding Plugin!

    Hi again Thom…

I did find a way to cludge what I wanted and thought I’d share my ‘temporary’ solution. What I did was I added another plugin to my site called Simple Lightbox… this plugin seamlessly provides the ‘magical’ lightbox function (downloading is a bit klutzy) but I have requested the addition of a download button on the support site of Simple Lightbox plugin.

A better solution might be to incorporate Simple Lightbox into your plugin… just a thought from a lazy (not very bright) person.

Here’s a link to my test page (which will be online for a bit).

    Enjoy.

I’ll put this on my list of possible features to add.

Thank you very much Thom! If I can help test or develop a use-case for you please let me know. I am happy to help, such as my skills will permit.

I’ve got this up and running but I’m not willing to release it at this stage. Large image files max out even large php.ini memory_limits and cause the script to return a broken img thingy. I suppose I could do a filesize check and if it’s over a certain size, it will return the filetype icon instead of producing the virtual thumbnail. What do you think?

Version 2.2 is now up with thumbnails as an option for tables.
