Support » Fixing WordPress » Image degradation after importing XML

  • I am switching my blog from Blogger to WordPress and importing XML file. Everything works fine except the images; the image quality is degraded/blurred. I found that the imported images keeps the original quality and the degradation is due to the fact that image ID is not specified in the img Tag in the command line. If I add the following command, the image is shown beautifully as it should be;’class=”wp-image-#”‘, where # is the image ID number like 123. I could find an image ID add the command for each individual image, but I have thousands of images and it is not practical. Does anyone knows a plug-in doing this automatically, or importing XML without the issue or a way to circumvent the problem? Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

  • Hi Richard,

Could you share a link to the page where you have this issue with the image quality? This might be fixed with a thumbnail regenerate but I want to see the source of the images first and make sure that this is the right solution.

Thanks, Radu, I will send PM for sharing the link.
