    I have featured image set for this page
    http://www.fireontherim.com/registration/

    And I am seeing all the proper meta tags

    <!--/ Facebook Thumb Fixer Open Graph /-->
    			<meta property="og:type" content="website" />
    			<meta property="og:url" content="http://www.fireontherim.com/registration/" />
    			<meta property="og:title" content="Registration" />
    			<meta property="og:description" content="" />
    			<meta property="og:site_name" content="Fire On The Rim Mountain Bike Race" />
    			<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.fireontherim.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_1580.jpg" />

    			<meta itemscope itemtype="website" />
    			<meta itemprop="description" content="" />
    			<meta itemprop="image" content="http://www.fireontherim.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_1580.jpg" />

    But Facebook does not provide it as an image; all I get are the last four images from the footer widget.

    I found out how, at least for me, to fix this. Facebook caches the information about URLs, and updates on their own time frame (I was adding for an existing page, for new posts you will not have a problem).

    I was able to use this FB tool to force a refresh of their cache
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

    and now my images are showing (though in the meantime I had tried another plugin)

    Yes that is specifically mentioned in the help topics for the plugin under the heading “Occasionally it doesn’t work. What’s going on?” (and a bazillion times in this support section).

    Facebook does keep a cached version – I believe it’s 24 hours – but I haven’t found any actual proof of that number. Using the Debugger and forcing a re-scrape is the easiest solution.

    I have a twitter feed in my right hand sidebar, and while all the info above is in View Source, looks fine, it is posting the Twitter pics, not my F.I. nor my default.

    Refreshing makes no difference, nor does a “new post”. It pulls the pics from the widgets.

    🙁

    Fun Fact: 99.9% of my replies are to users who don’t bother to include a link to their website 🙂

    Until that happens, I can’t offer any advice.
