    Hi tolito10,
Sorry for the delay. Notifications were not on for this plugin.

Currently you can’t, the idea with Velocity is to give you complete control over the preview image.

If you want that functionality, I suggest using this plugin.

    Hi,

    okk,
a shame as I’ve tried several plugins but the only thing that works well is me yours.

    Regards,

This looks like a beautifully designed plugin, but this (not being able to select the YouTube preview image as an option) keeps me from using it. So I +1 the above.

On a related note, it doesn’t look like Lazy Load for Videos is supported anymore, and a few of the other more popular lazy-load plugins haven’t been updated recently; that’s why I was keen to use yours. 🙂

I will look into effort of adding support for this, but as I said above I really wanted Velocity to use custom image previews and that still stands 🙂

    Stay tuned…

No worries. I’m all for plugins with a narrow focus (too many are broad and bloated). 🙂

I’m interested to know what your thinking was, though, with designing it around a custom image. I would have thought that most people would want to display a video’s default image (rather than go to the trouble of creating a custom image). Also, most people viewing videos would want to see that default image so they know exactly what they’re about to watch.

@chrislt – I originally built this for myself and clients then decided to spin it off into a standalone plugin. I already seen Lazy Load for Video was pulling the default images and didn’t see a need for another plugin to do the exact same thing.
