I use a portfolio for my company’s webpage which crops its featured images to a certain shape. Until now, cropping has been fine, but now I can no longer crop an image. Before I would just upload a certain image pre-shaped on my photo editor, but now no matter how I upload the photos, or crop using a plugin such as manual image crop, the image still comes out in this wide-angle ratio that I don’t want. How do I make it so I can have images not in this strange atuomatic crop?

Yes, but that isn’t the issue – it’s not the size of images, it’s the shape they are taking when displayed in the portfolio grid. No matter how I crop them or size them, they go to this same shape automatically, when this never happened before.

In fact, images that I upload a month or so ago have not changed to this; it has only been images since then that are changing to this shape on the portfolio grid.

Has anything been changed in functions.php? There are image sizes stored there

Not to my knowledge, how would this be checked?
    Thank you
