Support » Fixing WordPress » Image Caption Not Passed To Media Library

  • Hi, for some reason, my image captions are only being stored locally on the image itself.

But when I click on the ‘add media’ button, the title, caption, and alt-text are default (IMG_2331), blank and blank (respectively).

In the media library, it’s the same scenario. The image title/caption/alt-text are also blank.

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be great.

    Thank you.

  • What version of WordPress are you using?

Where is the ‘add media’ button you are using? (editor, Customizer, plugin)

Are you using a plugin for images (gallery plugin, editor plugin, other)?

If this is in the editor, which editor(classic or Gutenberg) and which mode(visual or text)?

    Hey Joy,

    1. Whatever the latest version is.

    2. here is a video https://youtu.be/H3xFnUW5jPk

    3. Plugins that might have something to do with the gallery:
    – Imagify (image optimization)
    – Default media uploader view

    Thanks again Joy
