Support » Themes and Templates » image at top of home page

  • Hi, I am a new wordpress user and I wanted to know how on the homepage, I can have an image at the top above the blog posts.

Note this is not the banner, but actaully in the content area.

I created a sticky post, but the problem with that is that it displays the date created, by author etc. I just want to have an image without that information.

The theme I am using is Mystique 1.62.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • you can insert the image into the code of your index.php file.

where exactly you do it depends on the theme (unfortunately, I can’t download your theme to look at it)

But somewhere below the header call, and any navigation you have, but above the worpress loop, you can put the picture in. You may have to wrap it in a div and apply some simple styling to it to position it just right

Thanks! i actually just wanted it to show up on home page and not other pages. Is this possible?
