Despite the complexity of what this plug-in does, it’s very easy to configure and use. The script does all the work of digging through your article, finding the headings, adding anchors, and displaying them neatly at the top of the article – all on the fly as the page loads. Very impressive.
I was able to quickly find the settings page and limit my links to just heading 1 and heading 2 as I wanted, and I was able to add the links to my sidebar with the included widget.
After adding the links to the sidebar, I wanted to remove them from the top of the article. The plug-in has no provision for doing that, but I was able to hide it with a minor stylesheet edit very easily.
Altogether I was up-and-running in about 5 minutes. 5 stars!
My only note for improvement is that the checkbox for switching from a bulleted list to an ordered list does not affect the output in the sidebar. But this was easy enough for me to modify in the code.
