    @slangji

    Simple: WP Admin Bar Removal and WP Toolbar Removal was recently updated with my nesw exclusive unified coding, that work indifferently with WordPress 3.1+ to WordPress 3.6+ and new Milestone 3.7+ ~ 3.8+ (full removal code and disable functions)

    Disable Admin Bar and Toolbar is the my 1st plugin, source base for WP Admin Bar Removal and WP Toolbar Removal, (read more info into main php plugin file description) with the only difference that this disable only functions and not remove code completely.

    Disable Admin Bar and Toolbar:
    Disable only Admin Bar or Toolbar function on both Backend and Frontend for all users on WP 3.1+ ~ 3.8+

    WP Admin Bar Removal:
    Disable Admin Bar or Toolbar function and Remove Completely Code on both Backend and Frontend for all users on WP 3.1+ ~ 3.8

    WP Toolbar Removal:
    Disable only Admin Bar or Toolbar function and Remove Completely Code on both Backend and Frontend for all users on WP 3.1+ ~ 3.8

    The difference to disable only function or disable functions and remove code completely is that this dual technique speedup loading of control panel and reduce memory consumption from WordPress Core!

    My plugins was the only on all repository, that effectively work on this direction … 🙂

    On future only WP Toolbar Removal was updated for new issues.

    If you use latest WordPress Release your version is WP Toolbar Removal … 🙂

    If you need only totally remove all node/group/link from Admin Bar or Toolbar, but not disable or completely remove it, use WP Toolbar Removal Node … :)-

    I basically want something that will allow me to manage and turn on or off some items of the admin and tool bar, both from the backend dashboard area as well as from the front end (while a user is logged in).

    This is possible with future PRO version … for now you need use WP Toolbar Removal or WP Toolbar Removal Node plugins and customize your own the needed code, but remember to nob break term of use of my free work 🙂

    Have Fun
