  • YES – WordPress up to date?
YES – NextGEN up to date?
I didn’t upgrade — fresh installation – What version of NextGEN Gallery did you upgrade from?

(please confirm the following, with your server host tech) :
    – MySQL up to date (at least 5.2.4)? **** I have MYSQL Version : 5.0.96-log *****
    – PHP up to date (at least 5.0)? *** 5.3.24
    – The mod_rewrite Apache module activated? *** YES
    – PHP Safe Mode OFF? *** YES

Additional information that will help us find a solution:
    – Who are you hosted with? *** GoDaddy
    – What theme are you running? *** Atahualpa
    – Which plugins do you have installed and activated?
    Akismet
    bbPress
    Dashboard Notepad
    Facebook
    Go Daddy Quick Setup
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati
    Page Management Dropdown
    Plugin Central
    Slideshow
    Subscribe To Comments
    Welcome to WordPress
    WordPress File Monitor
    WP-DBManager
    Yoast Breadcrumbs

** YES – Does this error still occur if you switch your theme to the WP default, and deactivate all plugins except NextGEN Gallery?

AND I also deactivated the Atahualpa theme and changed over to a WP default “Twenty Thirteen” and still ahs the problem.

After choosing (or dragging/dropping) jpg’s for the gallery and clicking on the “Upload” button each image appears to begin uploading. Usually somewhere between 70 and 90% a yellow error triangle appears — hovering over that shows “HTTP ERROR” In the end, 0 files are uploaded.

The only two potential problems I’m able to ID are the version of MySQL and possible incorrect “storage location” of the gallery files — I’m not entirely sure I have NextGen pointing to the correct directory in /wp-conntent

I know you’re not very happy about GoDaddy as our host, but that is not something we will be able to change for some time. We’re very hopeful there must be some work-around.

Please suggest a solution. My wife and I will almost certainly be going “PRO” once we know there’s a possibility that NextGen Gallery will work for us.

    Thank you!

@shepherdjim – It’s not that we are not happy about GoDaddy, we just find their servers to offer their own set of issues … as it appears you are using the default Permalinks for WordPress.

If you change to something other than the default structure, do you still have this issue?

    – Cais.

If I change default path, it does not help. These is for me wierd:

It alvays reads the first directory.

    Best regards

I don’t understand what you mean by “change to something other than the default structure” …

In Settings, the Permalinks are “default” as you say “http://shepherdjim.com/?p=123”

    What change would you suggest?

@shepherdjim – We often recommend “Post name” but my personal preference is “Month and name” … whichever suits your purposes should work, it’s just in some host environments we have found that the default Permalink will not work at this time.

Ok I am not a programer so some of the stuff that you are talking about is like Greek to me. I have had my website up through wordpress for almost 2 years now with no issues but I can’t get pictures to upload into a gallery since Nextgen updated to the 2.xx versions. I have tried to revert back to the previous version like suggested in other posts, without success.

I am hosted at Hostgator. I am on the latest greatest version of WP and using the most recent version of NG. I have checked my permalinks and they are set to name, not default. I think everything else is up to date.

I have tried using both IE9 and the latest version of Chrome when trying to upload and I get the same results.

I like the new features I have seen in the NG pro version and would like to upgrade, but not until I know it is going to work and if the basic one won’t work then why would I upgrade to pro.

    Suggestions?

@hopefloatsnc – There could be a plugin conflict, have you looked at your other active plugins to see if there is a conflict there?

Otherwise, in some cases our “Reset” tool may help sort out the issue, if it is not a conflict with another plugin (or your theme) then please submit a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) so we can get a better look at this and hopefully help you sort your issues out.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

I can also not get pictures to upload into a gallery. I just updated to WP 3.6 and was excited to try out the NextGen plugin
    🙁
