• Since I’ve Restore my site to its original state (a couple of hours), I’m no more able to manage nor connect to it.

I’m seeking for some help. Will it be possible to move my active subscription and domain name to a new site ? And then forgot the site that is no more responding ?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Stephan

  • @swierz Hello! 502 error is most probably an error from your hosting-side (server issue/misconfiguration) and not an actual problem with WP Core or a plugin “per se”, so I would definitely suggest you to contact them first, and provide them with the whole context of what happened prior to this.

i hope this helps point you in the right direction!

Thanks for the quick reply. Well, this what I’ve done before beeing stucked:

    • setup my site with the original wordpress domain (primary)
    • removed the previously external connected domain
    • reset my site
    • added a new “free one year” domain to the site.

In the mean time I have created a new site, without an active subscription (free plan). who can help me to move my subscription + free domain from the broken site to the new site I have just created ?

    Thanks

@swierz Hello again – I can understand how frustrating this can be… however, keep in mind that this is not a WordPress.org-related support issue. It’s mostly an account/subscription/domain management issue which is best to be handled directly with your hosting provider..

    Understood, but I’m hosting my site on wordpress.com ! Isn’t wordpress.com and wordpress.org the same ?

@swierz Excuse me , forgot to add some explanations here –

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities – more info here https://wordpress.org/support/article/wordpress-vs-wordpress-com/

WordPress.com has complete documentation and support contacts at https://support.wordpress.com/

I’ve already contacted WordPress.com support 2 or 3 hours ago, but no sound and no image so far 🙁

I badly guessed that WordPress.org forum where the next place to go :D, anyway, I’ll try to contact support.

    Many thanks for your help.
