I’m looking for a plugin, which can pull posts from my blog and bbpress

    I asked this question on another forum (no idea which but the question does not appear in my questions on here, so presumably on another support site) and got a response which isn’t capable of doing what I need, so I am back, in the hope of finding one that can.

    Basically, my webpage is aiming to be a wildlife travel marketplace. As part of that, i offer all members (three distinct member groups) the ability to have a sort if blog on the site. I am using bbpress for this. In each members areas, you can read all their posts as though it were a blog. I am looking for a plugin, which can amalgamate all my posts, with all the posts from these members bbpress forums, as one feed. Buttons, to be able to filter, so that my blog, or a specific forum can be looked at, would be i think necessary.

    I was advised to use postx, but this does not work with bbpress annoyingly, so I am looking for a replacement.

    Anyone got any ideas? My search hasn’t been successful, but i can’t be the only one to want something like this.

    I should note, that while I’d prefer to continue with bbpress, no members have started posting, so if there was an alternative forum plugin, that would work in this way, it could probably be switched now.

    I’m afraid I’m not able to find any out of the plugin that could be suggested. It’ll require custom coding if you are looking to display the content in one feed. WordPress provides a jobs directory here: https://jobs.wordpress.net/, You can explore that if you are looking to hire a developer.

    I should note, that while I’d prefer to continue with bbpress, no members have started posting, so if there was an alternative forum plugin, that would work in this way, it could probably be switched now.

    However, I haven’t tested the plugin, so its something you’ll have to test and see whether it fits your requirement.

    wpforo doesn’t seem to work. Im thinking along another line (I’m going to post it as a question today)

    I hope you’re doing well.

    Just wondering, have you tried the WP RSS Aggregator plugin. This will help to fetch posts from the other site. I didn’t have that set up to test this plugin, but it sounds promising, which you can take a look at.

    Also, you can share the outcome with us.

    Sorry for the delay in responding, I am hoping to put this plugin in tonight, but I believe that it will do what is required (the only question is whether it will ruin my wordpress posts moving them across. I will try to report back in the next week

    Hi, final update!

    WP RSS Aggregator has proved to be a wrong turn – I dont doubt that this plugin would do what we were looking to have it do, however, it was too limited without the pro version of the plugin, and this was more expensive than I was interested in paying. In particular, This plugin treats turning bbpress posts into wordpress posts as a pro feature – therefore I would say that while it may well work as a do-all option, if you are buying all the additional features, it definitely does not work in an affordable way.

    However, I found another, which does the same thing, and turns its posts into WordPress posts – WPeMatico. While this has pro features, they are for far more advanced options and it appears that it is possible to use the free version to do useful things.

    It is going to require me to add far more filter and sorting stuff, as it is going to greatly increase the amount of content on my site (only using stuff that has legal permission to be reproduced of course) but this is a fantastic solution – for anyone looking to do something similar.
