Support » Plugin: Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster » I’m impressed! It is the best optimization wp plugin…

  • I’ve used numerous cache and script optimization plugins, but Asset CleanUP is the best!
    Just minifying css and js + unloads (incredibly smart and easy to use function) my site took a huge leap in loading speed (from pagespeed 40 to 83)
    Now I use Nginx with redis cache + cloudflare + Asset Cleanup. This combination is perfect!
    I don’t know if it’s still possible to improve this plugin, but I wish the author to keep improving

  • Now I found a possibility of improvement 🙂
    Suggestions:

    – on page “admin.php?page=wpassetcleanup_bulk_unloads” add the plugin name unloaded. The list shows only unloadeds file handles;
    – add a logged in/out user filter. A conditional rule for file unload only if not logged in user 🙂

    @moisb thank you for your review! Regarding your suggestions:

    – on page “admin.php?page=wpassetcleanup_bulk_unloads” add the plugin name unloaded. The list shows only unloadeds file handles;

    Yes, that’s a good idea actually. Saving the path to the files (could also be from a theme or a 3rd party CSS/JS) along with the handle name could help. Note that when you unload all the CSS/JS from a plugin, it won’t be like the plugin is deactivated. Its PHP code will still trigger. It’s just its assets that won’t be loaded.

    – add a logged in/out user filter. A conditional rule for file unload only if not logged in user 🙂

    That was suggested before and I’ll consider implementing it. Now, it could get complicated as there could be many users registered on a website, each with its own role. Something simple (at least for now) like unloading if the user is not logged-in (or keep it loaded as an exception if the user is logged-in) could work.

    yes Gabe. That’s exactly what I thought:
    unloading if the user is not logged-in (or keep it loaded as an exception if the user is logged-in)

    thanks for answering. And again congratulations for the impeccable work.

    @moisb Update: The feature to show more details about the file associated with the handle has been implemented:

    – on page “admin.php?page=wpassetcleanup_bulk_unloads” add the plugin name unloaded. The list shows only unloadeds file handles;

    I’ve attached a print screen with a preview of the changes here: https://ibb.co/3zrKLWN

    PS: In time, this would be improved. I believe it’s so much better than just having the handle name.
