I’m having conflict with Woocommerce blocks and possible CPU hog

I seem to have a conflict with Woocommerce product blocks and the plugin smush.I have every plugin deactivated but these 2 plugins and when I have them installed together I get very long loading when trying to edit the pages with woocommerce product blocks even sometimes timing out. It’s also been making me reach me CPU resource limit every day well I believe that’s what’s causing it when editing these pages.

My whole site is built with these blocks even category pages so it’s unfortunate as I’m considering rebuilding my site without them. Let me know if you have solution or test my staging site for yourself because this issue has been going on for a while. Even with Smush deactivated my site has been reaching cpu resource limit and I haven’t been using smush because the conflict but the dashboard does work fine without smush. If I deactivate Woocommerce plugin or delete the product blocks on page it will work with smush. I also want to note that this may have started happening after resizing product images a while back.

If you know anything about this please help me out as I been troubleshooting with no solution for a while even after reaching out to support teams. I also want to note my hosting plan is pretty good and shouldn’t be reaching cpu resources everyday.

I don’t have Woocommerce blocks plugin installed by the way it just came preinstalled already.

Update: After further testing it seems to be a Kadence theme conflict. With the twenty twenty two theme it loads super fast. I also tried Astra theme and it works a little faster than Kadence but still has the issue.

New update: Further testing shows when I add products to a module on elementor it does the exact same thing. Takes about 7 seconds to load up elementor editor. When removing products its back to normal. This is the exact same thing that happens with the Woocommerce product blocks. It seems like the Woocommerce database may be corrupted or something. I’m not sure if this was because of resizing images but it did start happening after that.To note I did resize images on staging site a couple times to get the size right then did it on my live site this ended up causing everything to comes to a stop with everything slowing down. I then found that the resources have been limited on cpanel.

I didn’t have elementor installed before this. I just wanted to do some testing to see if it was Woocommerce blocks. I’m not exactly sure if elementor uses woocommerce blocks.

When testing on another site this problem does not exist.

Could you please confirm if all of your plugins and your theme are updated to their latest versions?

You mentioned that the issue started after resizing the images, which leads me to believe that it was a conflict with the plugin you used for resizing the images. Could you please let us know if the issue is still there when you deactivate the Smush plugin?

Everything is updated. I used the standard Woocommerce feature in the customizer to resize the thumbnail images. Then I also tried to do it with Smush. When I deactivate Smush the slow backend only on pages that have products goes away but is still causing resource limits to be reached I believe.

Ok this wasn’t your blocks but a conflict with smush and woocommerce when changing product thumbnails to custom size.
