Hi Gaz,
It seems like your IP was added to the blacklist. To go to your dashboard again, you need to deactivate Limit Attempts plugin manually.
Please use file manager or FTP client (http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) and rename ‘limit-attempts’ folder, which is located here ‘wp_root/wp-content/plugins’. After you’ll be able to go to your dashboard, you can rename it back. After that, please go to the settings page, open the ‘blacklist’ tab and delete your IP. If you’re using static IP, you can add it to the whitelist to avoid blocking in future.

Hey Guys..just checked on one of my sites and made all adjustments as described. However my IP is not on the Blacklist? Ive also ass my IP to the Whitelist and when logging off and logging back in…I still get blocked out???
Ive uninstalled the plugin via FTP and reinstalled several times – still the same issue.. Its only this site which im having the issue with???

This may be caused by the appropriate blocking settings. To find the cause, please provide the following (from the site where the problem occurs):
1) screenshots of the plugin settings page:
a) your_site/wp-admin/admin.php?page=limit-attempts.php
b) your_site/wp-admin/admin.php?page=limit-attempts.php&action=blocked
c) your_site/wp-admin/admin.php?page=limit-attempts.php&action=blacklist
e) your_site/wp-admin/admin.php?page=limit-attempts.php&action=whitelist
f) your_site/wp-admin/admin.php?page=limit-attempts.php&action=statistics
2) screenshot of the message you receive when trying to log in
3) please specify: is your IP Static or Dynamic?
