    Hi My name's Katie.

I'm fourteen years old and a writer. I operate a writing blog http://www.katiesbookbag.net which features a bunch of different things like Book Reviews and Interviews. Or at least it will, I'm really new to the whole blogging thing.

I've seen on other blogs that at the top of their page where there are tabs (Home, About Me, Contact) that they'll also have tabs for a set of specific posts. So, like, if I wanted to group all of my book review posts together, there would be a tab at the top labeled 'Book Reviews' and a reader would simply click that to view all of the book reviews on my site.

How do I set this up? I'd ask my dad, but he says I should try to figure things out on my own before I ask him :P

Any and all help is appreciated

You're more likely to receive help in a more frequently visited forum

    Hi Katie,
Good for you for doing your own blog! Here's a page that has the basic info about setting up menus, including categories which is what it sounds like you want:

Post back if you need more help.

  4. Hi Katie,

What you want to do is read up on the difference between Pages and posts.

Once you've decided on your posts, you can create categories and then as wpyogi suggested, you can then create your menu by adding pages and categories in your navigation.

I'll move your thread to the How to and Troubleshooting section since, that's where it should be.

    Good luck.
