 * Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s
   folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name
   using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) or whatever file management
   application your host provides.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
 * – re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder – from
   a **fresh** download of WordPress.
 * – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
 * And next time, please try to provide a little more detail to that we don’t have
   to play the “guess the problem” game.

 * ok. sorry. its a bit late and we just lost a match 🙂
 * Im running a multi-site installation so I guess it fails somewhere around that.
   it ONLY shows on the network admin pages so not the individual site admin pages
   and it occurred a minute ago directly after upgrading to 3.4 whereafter it displays
   constantly
 * somehow get_user_count( ) does not work in my specific multi-site installation
   on line 55 in update.php
 * which is get_site_option( ‘user_count’ );
 * database HAS user_count in sitemeta, hmmm

 * I’d suggest re-posting this in the Multisite forum. I can then close this topic
   if you want.

 * ok i will ask there.
 * its strange, in update.php “user count” returns an integer while beneath line
   55 it is treated as an array, that is where it fails
