 * Please correct wp-config-sample.php in 2.7.1 it ends with a line break which
   invalidates rss feeds.

 * There isn’t a line break at the end of wp-config-sample and MY RSS feeds aren’t
invalid. It’s probably something you did while you were editing it.

 * Before you posted the above did you check?
line 76 is ‘?>’ and ends in a line
break followed by line 77. How do you know your feeds are valid? did you use
   a validator? [http://feedvalidator.org/](http://feedvalidator.org/)
 * I found this error with a clean install and have even checked it again by re
downloading it to make sure I did not invalidate in the process of instalment.

 * He is correct – this has been this way for a while – even on the 2.8-bleeding
   nightlies
just downloaded a fresh zip – same thing
 * However, my feeds do validate fine but I’ve had to fix several folks that didn’t.
 * As far as I know – this is a known deal.
