Ignore Sticky Posts not working if sticky is in selected category

    Have limited RPWE widget to only display posts of a single category, however, if I select ‘Ignore Sticky Posts’ it does not work if the sticky post is in that category.

    Is there a way to overcome this?

    Just to clarify, if a sticky is not in the selected category, then stickies do not appear, and it works fine.
