Ignore pingbacks from your own site?

I might be missing it, but is there a way to have your own site ignore pingbacks from itself? I sometimes refer to previous entries on my site with a link in a new post, but it always creates a comment then in the old entry as a pingback. That might be nice to allow users to know I referred to the post in a different one, but it’s not necessarily what I want–is there a setting or way to have it so that specific sites (or your own) don’t auto add a pingback?
