Support » Plugin: IgniteUp - Coming Soon and Maintenance Mode » IgniteUp enabled but not working… I think.

  • Resolved cindycloutier

    Hi all,

I switched themes today, to Studiopress’s Infinity Pro. IgniteUp worked great with the other theme; it’s still set up the same and enabled, and I’ve tried deactivating all other plugins (though there are few to begin with at this point), clearing the cache, trying a different browser, and nothing. This morning my daughter is visiting, and I asked her to go to my site (for the first time) and see if the maintenance mode page is up; it wasn’t.

Now here’s a strange twist: last evening, I’d contacted Studiopress regarding another issue, specifically to do with the theme. I received a response from one of their techs this morning (before I asked my daughter to look at the site) saying I’d need to disable my maintenance mode plugin first, because she wasn’t able to view my site!

Does this problem sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas?

  • So that I could put this issue to rest and move forward, I found another plugin that does the job. I don’t know what the trouble was; I used your plugin with my other WordPress account for about a year I think, without any issues at all. Looked good (much better than other free plugins I’ve seen) and did the job without issues.

    Thank you for your response!

@ceylonsystems I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
