  • I used the uninstall button 😐
I can’t deactivate the plugin again, i also deleted it.

Now, the first page is loading and it’s ok, but the other pages are 404 Error 😐
    Ok, i’l mail you.

    later edit: fixed

    Hi there,
I have seen a large increase in timeout after implementing your plugin as the site already had large number of indexed pages and post maintenance mode, these google indexed URLs of the website are not opening. I want to uninstall but keep failing on uninstallation. What if i delete the plugin folder from ftp? Will this achieve uninstallation and allow me to get the site again.

    Hi @paragp,

Yes deleting the folder or renaming it will perform deactivation of the plugin.

About the timeout issue, it’s strange and we never had any issue like that before.

If you are sure if it’s an issue with IgniteUp, email us a temporary login to your site admin panel so we can inspect further. Our email address is: support[at]getigniteup[dot]com

@ceylonsystems I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

@johnnyrc, how did you solve the issue? I am having the same problem.

IgniteUp is not actually deactivating. After unistalling it, the site remains unviewable.
Renaming the folder /wp-content/plugins/igniteup doesn’t work either.

    Please help.

@ceylonsystems, do you have some advise?

    Best Regards.

After you rename or delete the /wp-content/plugins/igniteup folder, IgniteUp plugin can no longer work on your website. If you still have an issue, it should be something else.

In case this can help others, the issue was not because of Ignite. It was because I was using a cache plugin. All you have to do is delete or recreate the cache (this options should be given by the cache plugin, or deactivate the plugin).
