    Hi everyone,
    I’m having the same trouble trying to connect ifttt to wp I already read in this forum. But none of the replies worked out for me.
    I have enabled RPC XML through a plugin (before that in settings-writing this option wasn’t visible) but the error message ” Live channel fields value is not a valid WordPress url” is still there.

    I’ve read that maybe the url I put is not the correct one (mydomain.com), but I really don’t know where to find the “real” url (I have Lithium hosting), could you please advise so to try also this way?

    Thank you all

    Giulia

    Same problem here and just made a new thread about it shortly before you.
    I have tried everything that others have posted. Any luck addressing the problem?

    So from my own sleuthing, I deduced it was an error with my hosting preventing IFTTT from connecting. I was hosting with DotEasy.

    Since I was just setting up my site, I had the liberty to switch to WP.org’s recommended Bluehost and that worked….

    So, it’ not much help but it seems like you might want to contact your hosting company.

    Thank you so much violanc.
    I’ve contacted my Lithium customer support buy they don’t seem to be willing to help me, saying they son’t even know IFTTT.
    I’ll try again.
    Anyway thank you so much for your suggestion.

    Hi guys,
    I report the reply I’ve received form Lithium Hosting support, maybe someone else can find it useful:

    We block access to xmlrpc.php by default.
    If you need to allow access to the xmlrpc.php file, you need to whitelist access by updating your .htaccess file with the following.

    <Files xmlrpc.php>
    order allow,deny
    allow from all
    </Files>

    And now…. can anyone help me doing this? ;-D
    Thanks!!!

    yeah, that’s great
