Support » Fixing WordPress » Iframe removed on default WordPress installation with TwentyEleven Template

  • Hi, I maked a default installation of WordPress with TwentyEleven template. Then I maked a standard procedure to create a child theme. Everything is working, but I found a little bug, which is important to fix for me.

With Gutenberg Editor I created a static Frontpage and then under the static content, I added the list of newests posts with the full content.

Problem is, that the list is successfully displayed, but If any of the post contains for example YouTube video, the video is not displayed, because there was removed the <iframe> from the post content.

…but If I will create a link in the main menu to the list of posts, <iframe> is there and everything is working. Also, when I put the Youtube block with Gutenberg, also everything is working. Problem is only, when I will display the list of posts with full content through the Gutenberg block (in this case <iframe> is missing and video is not displayed).

Thank you very much for each help.

  • Please ask this question on the Twenty Eleven theme forum.

Please include a link to your website.

I also suggest that you try use Twenty Nineteen theme. If the iframe works then it will tell you that the problem is with the Twenty Eleven theme. If it does not work then the problem might be in WordPress or Gutenburg.
