I am putting together this site:
What I want to do, is selectively display widgets with Amazon adverts that relate to specific products for each post. That is, if there is a post about a particular piece of music I want a widget on the side to appear that shows a particular add for a CD of that music.
I downloaded a plugin called ‘TS Custom Widgets’ which allows you to associate widgets with posts. So I half way there.
The problem is using iframes. If I could use the text widget with iframes I think I would be getting closer, but it will not display them as we all know. I need a widget that can exist multiple times in the sidebar, and displays iframes, so I can selectively turn them on and off depending on which post is displayed using TS Custom Widgets.
I have tried some iframe widgets but they only allow you to have a single instance of the widget displayed which is no good.
This is just a pieced together method I have been trying – surely there is a more elegant solution?
So my question is, what is the best way to achieve my end goal here?
There must be someone out there that has put something like this before? There must be a good method, right?
Anyone that can walk me through successfully how to achieve the ability to display post specific iframe adds in the sidebar (via widget, coding, or any other method at all that works) for my site earns themselves $10 via Paypal. Not a lot, but I don’t have a lot to offer right now.
Thanks for any help!
