“if” wp_link_pages posible?

Hi all,

I made quite a few changes to the way wp_link_pages displays in my multi-pages posts and that includes some background and borders. My problem is that it displays an empty box when the post does not have multiple pages (any short post).

Is it possible to make an IF wp_link_pages of some sort in WP? I’ve tried a couple of ways and nothing happens. Well, in one try I managed to place an extra pages navigation links on top of another 😛
