    Hi Lazlo,

From the ethical coding standpoint, any plugin that is deactivated must leave the application in the same state like before its activation, this means removing all traces of code and the database records it creates, in this case, the settings. But I understand your point of view and the utility of a feature to leave behind the settings after the deactivation.

If you need to keep/replicate the setting from an instance to another, you can use the Export/Import feature. This allows you to collect the serialized object of the settings you made, and import this in another instance or even the same one after you deactivate/activate back the plugin.

Let me know if this helps.

    Regards,
    Iulia

Ok, now that I know I will try to remember to export before deactivating.

It would be great though if it only deleted the content if the plugin is deleted.

I understand. I will try to include an option for this in the next release.

    Hi Lazlo,

I included an option in the latest version that allows you to keep the settings of the plugin even after it is deactivated. The option is available in the settings page and it looks like this

Please upgrade to the latest version to have this option available.

I will mark this as resolved.
You can start a new thread if you have any other questions.

    Regards,
    Iulia

Thank you so much for adding this feature. You are the best!
