Just found a link to this plugin on your site Jeff Starr.

Have been using the 5g blacklist.

Does this add an extra level of flavor and benefit to a site already using 5g in htaccess or is it unnecessary if 5g has already been implemented?

    Cheers

Yes it does add an extra layer of protection. There are some similar patterns being matched, but there is benefit to running both :)

Thanks for the quick reply Jeff.

Pattern matching with the programmatic side of the web for security - both for apps and websites - is essential for those running the world's most popular CMS.

I devoured your Htaccess book, by the way. Great read!

The 5g 2013 blacklist on Perishable Press is linked here. Using it like it's going out of style.

    Cheers
