[Resolved] IE7 Hacks CSS file…?

  • I just created an IE7 hacks file, but it doesn’t seem to be picked up..? None of the changes I have made are noticed by IE7.

I used this syntax that I found on a website. (I think it SHOULD be commented out, but I tried both ways. )

    [if IE 7]><link rel=”stylesheet” type=”text/css” href=”http://www.vikingprincess.net/wp-content/themes/jugendstil/IE7styles.css” /><![endif]

The url is the absolute path to where the file is.
I tried it with no path, just the file name as well.
I also tried putting the file at the root of the site.
I tried with the file commented commented out, or not.

What could I be doing wrong?

    Happy Christmas!
    JO

  • Your syntax is wrong, it should be used like this:

    <!–[if IE 7]><![endif]–>

oh that’s just a cut and paste error. Like I said, I tried both commented and uncommented. 🙂

Oh, ok. I stumbled across the solution.
The path to the fix has to be pasted into EVERY SINGLE PHP FILE of the theme. Unlike the msin CSS file which is only referenced once, from header.php.
